Last week I was on-site with one of our customers – a used car sales company in North Derbyshire. Whilst chatting to the company’s managing director the topic of perceived services came up – what people were expecting for their money.
Cromford Cars offer an 8-point guarantee for all vehicles they sell to make sure their customers know exactly what they are getting, but this got me thinking – what do people think IT Support really is? So I asked a few people.
The answers I got from customers, friends and family ranged from “You just make it work when I can’t.” to “The people who keep our systems running.” The general feeling was the same – IT Support are the people you call when you have a problem.
This is of course true – any issue not solved with the basics and you call in your trust IT support team to resolve the issue. But IT Support, certainly as far as Nottingham IT Support are concerned, is much more than this. IT Support is working constantly to keep systems running as they should. Our aim is to do everything possible to make sure you do not need to pick up the phone and call IT Support because something has stopped working.
Whether the starting point is a completely new system, or Nottingham IT Support are asked to take over the support of an existing IT infrastructure, our team of technical experts ensure everything is running as it should, always advising the customer of any relevant improvements which could be made. As a Maintenance and Support Agreement continues a regime of server monitoring, server health checks, anti-virus software management and backup management (to name just a few services) is carried out in the background, minimising the chance of any system failures which cost time and money.
